NFL.com’s Dan Hanzus reported Sunday that Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley had full feeling and movement in all of his extremities after he was carted off on a stretcher after suffering a neck injury late in Green Bay’s Week 7 contest against the Cleveland Browns.
The injury occurred after Finley secured a 10-yard reception and took a big hit from Browns S Tashaun Gipson. Gipson was flagged on the play, but replays showed that it was a clean hit.
Finley stayed down following the hit and was then loaded onto a stretcher and carted off the field. He will continue to undergo tests, and we should know more in the coming days. The fact that he had movement in his extremities obviously bodes well for Finley, but it’s a big blow for an already depleted Packers receiving corps.
