Bio

Karlos Dansby is a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns. He played seven seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and three seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Early Life

Dansby was born on November 3, 1981 in Birmingham Alabama. He attended Woodlawn High School and played basketball and football. He achieved All-State honors in both sports.

Auburn Tigers

Dansby started his collegiate career as a safety and was later moved to linebacker. As a senior he was named First-team All-Southeastern Conference with 84 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He amassed a total of 218 tackles while playing at Auburn.

Arizona Cardinals

Dansby was selected in the second round of the 2004 draft by the Arizona Cardinals. In his rookie season, he started in 11 games as a linebacker and recorded five sacks. In his second year, he returned two interceptions for touchdowns and continued to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks throughout the season.

Miami Dolphins

After establishing himself as a locker room leader in Arizona, he signed a five-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. He continued to rack up tackles in Miami as a leader and a ball hawk on defense. In three seasons playing for the Dolphins he recorded 267 tackles before being released in 2013.

Arizona Cardinals

Dansby would sign a one-year deal to return to Arizona in 2013. In that season he led the team with 114 tackles.

Cleveland Browns

In the 2014, Dansby signed a four-year deal with the Cleveland Browns.
