A leader in the Rebel secondary, Kenneth Perry enters the 2014 UNLV Rebels campaign as one of the top cornerbacks in the Mountain West. Has recorded 19 starts in the 24 games he’s played over the last two seasons and led the nation with 18 pass breakups in 2013, the fifth most in school history. Will be a key performer for the Rebel secondary in 2014.
Finished his high school career in 2010 at Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas. In limited action, he had four catches for 115 yards and two scores. Spent his junior season at Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas, where he posted 51 catches for 874 yards and eight touchdowns to earn all-district honors. He added 43 tackles and three interceptions on defense. Also lettered three times in track and field, running the 200 meters and the relays.
After redshirting his freshman year of 2010, he earned his first letter in 2011 by appearing in five games, finishing with nine tackles. In 2012, he started eight of 11 games at right cornerback and finished with 34 tackles and four pass breakups. Returned a fumble for a touchdown against Boise State. In 2013, started 11 of 13 games and totaled 32 tackles, including one for loss.
