Kris Frost is a middle linebacker for the Auburn Tigers of the Southeastern Conference. He is on the 2014 pre-season Butkus Award Watch List and was named one of the top 100 prospects in the nation to watch for the 2015 NFL Draft by NFLDraftScout.com.
Frost attended Butler High School in North Carolina. Rivals.com ranked Frost the 20th best recruit in the nation. A SuperPrep All-American, Frost led Butler to a 16-0 record as a senior. He forced three fumbles, recovered two fumbles and picked off two passes that season. He played two years at linebacker and finished with a total of 178 tackles and 22 tackles for loss.
Frost redshirted at Auburn in 2011 and saw limited action as Daren Bates’ backup in 2012 with his first collegiate playing time coming against Clemson. He forced a fumble against Alabama in the Iron Bowl and finished with three tackles in the contest.
In 2013 Frost shared playing time with Jake Holland at the middle linebacker position. He tallied a total of 59 tackles on the year including six tackles and a forced fumble against Missouri in the SEC Championship Game. Frost earned a start against Texas A&M and finished with six tackles and a tackle for loss. He also recovered a fumble against Arkansas. Frost played in the BCS National Championship Game against Florida State and finished with seven tackles.
