MLS All-Star Game Rewind: Roma Strikes Early to Win
The 2014 MLS All-Star Game is set to take place tomorrow night at Providence Park in Portland, as the stars of Major League Soccer will go toe-to-toe with German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
Last year's game didn't offer up a whole lot of suspense as Serie A side Roma came in and capitalized right away in what would eventually be a 3-1 victory.
It only took four minutes for Kevin Strootman to put home a goal to put the Italian squad up 1-0, but goals from Allesandro Florenzi and Junior Tallo in the second half would be the deciding factor for Roma.
Los Angeles Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez would notch a goal during stoppage time, however, it wasn't meant to be for the MLS stars as they suffered defeat for the third time in four years. The All-Stars managed to top Chelsea the previous year, but fell to Manchester United the two years before that.
The atmosphere was certainly electric in Kansas City for this particular match, and the same will probably be the case for this year's match in Portland.
Will the MLS All-Stars being able to get back on the winning track? Or will Bayern Munich give the opposition back-to-back wins over America's finest players?
