Modric rules out Mourinho reunion at Chelsea
Luka Modric has ruled out following Jose Mourinho from Real Madrid to Chelsea as he is living out a dream playing in the Spanish capital.
The Croatia international was signed by Mourinho in August 2012 and made 53 appearances in his debut season for the Spanish club, scoring four goals.
His creativity and ability to perform under pressure endeared him to the new Chelsea boss who was believed to be interested in taking him back to the Premier League but Modric has ruled out any reunion with the 50-year-old.
The 27-year-old admitted he was disappointed to see Mourinho leave the Bernabeu, and although he is sure his former manager will be a success at his new club, he has no intention of joining him as he is enjoying life in La Liga."I'm not even thinking about the possibility I could leave Madrid this summer, but there is interest from other clubs," he told The Sun.
"Every kid who plays football dreams about playing for Real Madrid. It was the same with me.
"Of course I was sad when Jose Mourinho left. He was the one who insisted in bringing me to Madrid. He is a fantastic coach and I am honoured to have worked with him.
"He really impressed me. It's such a pleasure to play in his team and talk with him about football.
"I wish him all the best in Chelsea. I believe he will use all his knowledge and expertise at Stamford Bridge once again."
