Mountain West's Top 5 Underrated Prospects

Created on Sept. 13, 2013 7:08 AM EST

4. Jake Fely, LB, San Diego State

5-10, 220 pounds

2012 season: 90 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 7 sacks, 2 FF, 2 FR, 2 PBU

Fely has started every game at middle linebacker the past two seasons for San Diego State. He's a leader on a defense and the all-around type of linebacker NFL teams look for inĀ  drafts.

He's an excellent tackler, and he gets to the quarterback and disrupts plays constantly. The only thing Fely lacks is size but that shouldn't stop him from being regarded as a starting special team player and possible future starting linebacker. He be a low-risk, high-reward pick in the late rounds.
