Some college football predictors are giving Illinois — the same team that had zero Big Ten wins in 2012 — six wins and a spot in a bowl. And I'm sure that's the same Kool-Aid Tim Beckman is selling to his players.
Whether you buy it or not, if the Illini want to get there, they first need to qualify with six wins, making Nov. 9 in Bloomington a must-win.
Indiana is a unit on the rise and has hopes of bowling itself. You better believe the Hoosiers don't want to give away a home game to the lowly Illini. Illinois on the other hand needs every win possible.
Prediction: Indiana just has more to work with, and Illinois may be in rough shape after hosting Wisconsin (Nov. 19), a homecoming battle with Michigan State (Oct. 26) and a road test with Penn State (Nov. 2).
