2. 5. Brett Hundley, UCLA
6-foot-3, 227 pounds
2012 season: 319-479, 66.5%, 3,740 yds., 29 TDs, 11 INT
Hundley is a smart quarterback who looks to multiple receivers downfield and sells the pump fake very well. In 2012, his first season as starter for UCLA, he was fourth in the Pac-12 with a pass efficiency of 147.7. He ran for nine TDs but only averaged 2.2 yards per carry, although he only runs when he needs to.
Hundley’s arm strength is average but his accuracy makes up for that. He has great touch on his passes but gets into trouble when underthrowing receivers. His mechanics are very good for a guy who has started only one year in college and he can only get better. If he has a better season in 2013 than he did last year, Hundley has a chance to be drafted in the 5th or 6th round.
