Percy Harvin Officially Activated Off PUP List
By Allen Kim
After weeks of questions surrounding his status, Percy Harvin has finally been activated off of the PUP list by the Seattle Seahawks and onto the 53-man roster.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Harvin would be on a limited snap count in his return to the field in Week 11 when he plays against the Minnesota Vikings. Harvin was likely itching for the opportunity to suit up against his former team, and we’ll see what sort of havoc he can wreak on them.
The Seahawks have their bye in Week 12, and coach Pete Carroll will probably fully unleash Harvin then. Harvin appeared to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, but a setback pushed back his 2013 debut. There’s no reason for them to risk further injury to Harvin in what should be an easy win against his old team.
Harvin will immediately give their offense a huge boost, and the timing couldn’t be better with the team ready to make a run down the stretch to secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Seattle is 9-1, and they were just gifted an added cushion on the trailing San Francisco 49ers after the Carolina Panthers beat them on Sunday.
