Real Garcilaso's lead at the top of the Group A in the Peruvian Primera Division has been reduced after a 1-1 draw against Sport Huancayo.
Garcilaso took a 39th minute lead through Mauricio Montes before Ryan Salazar brought Sport level eight minutes after half-time.
Despite Sport's Rafael Farfan receiving a second yellow in the 79th minute, Garcilaso could not find the goal that would have secured the three points.
The point accumulated saw Garcilaso remain on top of Group A, three points clear of Sporting Cristal, who accounted for Cesar Vallejo 2-0.
Second-half goals to Jose Fernandez and Irven Avila were enough for Sporting Cristal to stay in the hunt for the title.
In Group B, Universitario hold an eight-point advantage over their nearest challenger despite a 0-0 result at Universidad San Martin.
Drama marred the late stages with Gianmarco Gambetta and Yhirbis Cordoba both receiving red cards for San Martin in stoppage time.
Universitario's nearest challenger, UTC Cajamarca, came from behind to defeat Leon de Huanuco 2-1 on the road.
Striker Pedro Ascoy gave Huanuco the lead after only five minutes before Cajamarca's Mauro Vila tied the match in the 51st minute.
It all fell apart for Huanuco in the 75th minute with the sending off of Victor Pena before Cajamarca struck the winner through Gianfranco Labarthe four minutes later.
In other results, Inti Gas drew 2-2 with Cienciano, Melgar triumped 2-0 at Union Comercio and Juan Aurich won 2-0 against Jose Galvez.
