Important Features of Our Site

As described in the Terms of Use for Football.com, the Site is a closed site.  This means the Site is password protected and accessible only to registered members.  Each Club will have a unique Club Account through which only registered Club Account members may access that portion of the Site that is dedicated to their club.

Types of Accounts.   The Site currently offers “Club Accounts” and “Individual/Family Accounts.”

1.         Individual/Family Accounts (“My Football.com Accounts”).   Subject to the applicable age restrictions, anyone can setup an Individual/Family Account, including a player (if 13 years of age or older) or his/her parent or legal guardian.  Each member on an Individual/Family account may have his/her own login and may add pictures, comments or other content and participate in team chat rooms or other features.  Unless specifically authorized by their parent or legal guardian, children under the age 13 may not participate in the use or management of the account, or the contribution or manipulation of content. Parents and/or guardians of children under 13 years of age may manage a page on behalf of the child, however that parent/guardian must not allow the child to manage the account unless that parent/guardian has provided the Site with an acknowledgment, consent and release authorizing the same.   Anyone with a Individual/Family Account (“My Football.com Account”) can:

a.       follow their favorite Professional Teams and or Individual Players

b.      follow their favorite Youth Teams and or Individual Players

c.       receive newsletters from Football.com

d.      receive emails notifications with updates, newsletters etc. regarding youth players they are following.

2.       Club Accounts.  To establish a Club Page/Account an individual with or without an Individual Account must submit a request on behalf of the Club to be reviewed by a member of Football.com for approval. Upon approval, the individual that initially requested to establish the Club Page/Account will be provided with an approval email containing a link to register and setup the Club Page/Account.

                Process After Approval:

1.       When the user follows the link to setup the Club Page, they will then be required to  Register for a -“My Football.com Account”

a.       When they register for a My Football.com Account that account will then be linked to Club Page and they will control the Club. (Club “Accounts” Pages can be controlled by more than one individual.)

2.       Once a Club has an established presence on Football.com they will start inputting the information of:

a.       Executives & Admins: These users are given control of the Club Page (same level of authority as the user who submitted a request on the Club’s behalf).

b.       Teams- Coaches and Managers: When a team is added a team page is then generated. The managers & coaches then control that teams page & information. They have the authority to add players, guardians and various other roles to that team only. (Executives and Admins can also do this and they can delete these Coaches and Managers.)

c.       Players- Player Pages: When either the Admin, Executives, Team Manager and or Coach input the Player Rosters, Player Pages are then generated. (Currently this is the only way you can get a player page. Once a player page is generated the Player has complete control. Admins, Executives, Coaches & Managers can only terminate a player from a Club. The player/player page will then move under the category of unaffiliated.)

                                                                           i.      If the player is 18+ they will receive the invite to register and set-up their private player page.

ii.      If the player is under 18 a guardian will be invited to register and control the private players page until 18.

3.          The invite email to join the Club is sent to the email address provided by the Club. To accept any role designated by the Club each user has to create a My Football.com Account (they do not need to use the email that Club input) then their Account will be linked to the Club Page.

Your California Privacy Rights

We do not share information that we collect through the Site with third parties for the third party’s direct marketing purposes.

Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” signals to the websites with which the user communicates.  Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them.  Because there currently is no industry standard concerning what, if anything, websites should do when they receive such signals, we currently do not take action in response to these signals.  If and when a final standard is established and accepted, we will reassess how to respond to these signals.
