Ranieri calls for Monaco focus
Claudio Ranieri has warned his Monaco players to focus on Lorient and not be distracted by next week's game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Monaco can return to the top of Ligue 1 on Sunday if they beat Christian Gourcuff's men, having been knocked off their perch by the defending champions following their 2-0 victory over Bordeaux on Friday.
That would set up a box-office clash against PSG next Sunday, but Ranieri has urged his men to take each game as it comes.
"I will break their necks if they think about the game against Paris," the Italian said. "It's important to focus on Lorient.
"It would be dangerous to think about the game against Paris. It's one game at a time.
"For me the transition between the games against Marseille and Lorient is important. Because the game against Marseille was a good game. We took three points. But if we lose against Lorient, we would lose our advantage."
"No there is no rest. Because, I know the championship is going to be long. So winning or losing is not a problem. The most important thing is the training, how the players train. That's important for me.
"Lorient are a good team. They play in the 4-4-2 formation. They are well organised. They have good players who play good football. They always want to play attacking football."
