Landon Collins has been a special talent all of the way back to his days in high school. However, it was his mother's reaction at the U.S. Army All-American Game that got national attention, when she voiced her displeasure for him not picking LSU over Alabama.

Collins finished with 67 tackles and one interception, which he returned 89 yards for a touchdown.

Now the leader in the Alabama secondary with Ha Ha Clinton-Dix gone, Collins will be tasked with getting Alabama off of its season-ending struggles in 2013.

He's a preseason first-team All-American and All-SEC selection, so a lot is expected of him this year.
