Redskins Hit And Miss Throughout The Draft

Round 7, No. 228: RB Jawan Jamison, Rutgers

Uh oh. Mike Shanahan now has a full complement of running backs. You can almost sense Alfred Morris plummeting down fantasy football draft boards and fantasy owners breaking into a cold sweat. I know NFL coaches claim to be unconcerned with fantasy football, but if you’ve played the “sport” and dared to travel into Mike Shanahan’s lair of running backs, you’d swear he gets cheap thrills out of ruining the Sunday afternoons of fantasy owners. Many fantasy titles have been won and lost speculating on who will emerge as Shanahan’s latest 1,500-yard rusher.

Could Jamison be the next Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson or Alfred Morris? Maybe, but he’s more likely to make the team in 2013 by playing special teams. Jamison was another value pick, but a flier on an offensive lineman or inside linebacker would have made more sense.  Speaking of that…
