According to Sky Sports News HQ, Swiss nationals currently working for FIFA - which includes FIFA president Sepp Blatter - are being informed that they are unable to leave the country until further notice.
This news comes shortly after UEFA stated that FIFA should delay its presidential election that is currently scheduled for Friday.
The football world took center stage this morning after numerous officials were arrested on charges of corruption, and despite FIFA's claims that it will continue business as usual, things are starting to veer off course for football's governing body.
With these latest reports indicating that officials are being kept in the country at this time, it's still too early to know whether or not the presidential election will go forward as planned.
Given all the pressure that is mounting on FIFA and Blatter after this massive black eye for the sport, it doesn't seem likely that the election will take place.
