The schedule didn't do the Eagles any favors. Steve Addazio's club has by far one of the toughest tilts in the conference. They were a long shot to compete for the division crown to start, but the hellacious six-week period spanning from Sept. 28 through Nov. 2 likely will kill any other hope they have of sneaking into contention.
During that time frame the Eagles have a pair of tough road games in Death Valley and Chapel Hill sandwiched between home contests against Florida State and Virginia Tech. On the bright side, the team will get several chances to be the underdog to rain on a contender's parade. Those four big games likely will be the closest they come to the title game atmosphere.
