Titans Fielding Trade Offers For WR Kenny Britt
Kenny Britt may have tweeted himself out of Tennessee. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans are fielding offers and are open to trading Britt away. However, while they’re listening to offers, they’re not actively shopping him on the trade market.
Britt has shown flashes of immense talent and potential, but the former first-round pick out of Rutgers has been nothing but a headache for the Titans. Now in the final year of his rookie contract, the Titans may take whatever they can get for him at this point.
The last straw may have been this tweet from the other week:
Looks like the Titans pullin that Jared Cook card .. Looking like this the last year ill be sayin #TitanUp .. So lets make it a Great year
Even if the Titans don’t finding a trading partner to unload Britt, there’s little reason to believe that they’ll re-sign him to any sort of contract after the year is out. Britt only has five receptions for 43 yards thus far, and Kendall Wright and Nate Washington appear to be entrenched ahead of him on the depth chart. His tweet only appears to have sealed his fate, but it's tough to see the Titans getting much in return for the trouble receiver.
