Top 10 Big Ten Nonconference Games In 2014

No. 10: Rutgers at Washington State

Date: Aug. 28
Location: Seattle

Before Rutgers gets to its first conference game, it will have to play Washington State in Seattle to open the season. No small task for the middle-of-the-road squad.

This hits the list because even though Rutgers is new, its nonconference performance is important.

In 2013, Rutgers knocked off Arkansas, but that game was at home and Arkansas proved to be mediocre as the season drew on. The Cougars will be tougher.

A surprise win would help give the Scarlet Knights a shot at becoming bowl eligible in their first Big Ten season.
