No. 15: 2012 Boise State Broncos

Record: 11-2 overall, 7-1, tied for first in MWC

Final Coaches’/AP poll ranks: 14/18

Postseason: Defeated Washington, 28-26, in Las Vegas Bowl

Overcoming the loss of record-setting quarterback Kellen Moore and stud tailback Doug Martin to the NFL, these Broncos got it done on “D,” as defensive end Demarcus Lawrence, cornerback Jamar Taylor and Co. led the conference and ranked in the Top 12 nationally in both total (315.6 ypg) and scoring (15.8 ppg) defense. Their only losses were at No. 15 Michigan State (17-13) and to visiting San Diego State (21-19).
