Consistency is key with Harper. The 225-pound bruiser is going to win very few footraces and will show up on even fewer highlight reels. His longest run from last season was 29 yards, and his longest reception went for 28 yards. He more than made up for his lack of burst by averaging a solid 4.5 yards on 136 carries and a fantastic 9.3 yards per catch on 26 receptions.
Harper crossed the goal line 11 times during last year's campaign, including nine rushing touchdowns. The former fullback will be a terrific complement to rising star P.J. Walker as Temple looks to improve on last year's futile results.
