Top Performers During Sunday's Matchup: Patriots vs. Steelers
If Ben Roethlisberger would have played anyone other than the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers would have most likely been victorious. But on Nov. 3, 2013 the Patriots played like champions.
There is a reason why sports analysts spent weeks pining after Rob Gronkowski and constantly questioned when he was going to be back out on the field… He racked up 143 yards in nine catches. This was the missing element ladies and gentleman and he’s back!
Tom Brady made his way into NFL history on Sunday for tying Len Dawson’s record of 50-point games. Brady threw a 57-yard pass to Danny Amendola (122 total yards) and also threw an absolutely beautiful 81-yard pass to Aaron Dobson (130 total yards) that brought fans to their feet.
Julian Edelman also returned a punt for 43 yards during the third quarter. Edelman has been on fire this entire season and definitely did not disappoint during Sunday’s matchup.
The rivalry between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers brings out the best in the athletes. Whether you are at the stadium or tuning into the game at home, you know that the matchup is going to be stellar. A 55-31 final score is nothing to sneer at; it’s just that, on Sunday, the Patriots were the better team.
