When ground breaks on the 2013 NCAA football season, the American Athletic Conference will debut as the newest conference in the FBS, kind of. The AAC was formerly known as the Big East but will look to make a new mark in 2013.
The AAC will feature Louisville, Connecticut, Houston, Pittsburgh, SMU, South Florida, Central Florida, Temple, Cincinnati, Rutgers and Memphis as members in 2013 before undergoing changes again in 2014.
