Ellis' numbers do not pop off the screen, but his impact on the field is huge. Ellis is a big-bodied defensive tackle who translates extremely well as a nose guard in a 3-4 NFL system. He easily eats up blockers and allows the linebackers on his team to roam free on run defense.
Ellis sometimes struggles to get off blocks and make plays. He also appears to need some work on conditioning to help him stay on the field for more plays. And he needs to develop pass rush moves if he wants to excel at the next level.
