Seattle made a statement early in the signings with the Percy Harvin trade. In exchange for numerous draft picks -- including this year’s first rounder -- the Seahawks were able to ink a starting wide receiver and kick returner to complement the existing roster. The Seahawks also added a couple of free agent pass rushers in Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett.
All five of the panelists had Seattle in their top five, three of them voting Seattle as the team to beat to start the season.
The San Francisco 49ers, last year’s NFL champions, garnered the No. 2 spot.
As of now, the NFC West has a firm grasp on the top of the preseason power rankings.
