In the bottom half of the schedule, the Texans will have two games against their AFC South rival the Indianapolis Colts led by second year quarterback Andrew Luck.
The first match for the Texans and Colts should be anyone’s game to win as both franchises know each well and will both be coming off a BYE week. The winner of the game in Week 9 can simply come down to who prepared the most. If there had to be an advantage for one team, it would be the home field advantage the Texans would have at Reliant Stadium.
The second meeting between the teams will come in Week 15 of the season at Indianapolis.
The second matchup can favor the Texans, who will have 10 days off after playing their Week 14 game on a Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars, also an AFC South rival.
The Colts cannot be counted out as they will have home field advantage in the game. Another solid reason as to why you cannot count out the Colts was the success of the team in only its first year with Luck under center.
