After the game against the Seahawks, the Texans travel on the road to San Francisco in Week 5 to play against the 49ers.
The 49ers will provide a tough test for the Texans, as the team will have a lot to prove after coming up just short in the Super Bowl against the Baltimore Ravens.
One of the pitfalls for the Texans is that the 49ers will have a few extra days of rest before playing the game. While the Texans will have the normal seven days in between games, the 49ers will have 10 days of rest because of a Thursday night matchup in Week 4 against NFC West rival, the St. Louis Rams.
The Texans will have the challenge of stopping the running game of Frank Gore and LaMichael James, while training to contain the unique play of quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick will look to complete his first full season as the team’s starter.
