Sky Sports News HQ is reporting that UEFA has called for Friday's FIFA presidential election to be postponed after numerous officials from FIFA were arrested in Zurich earlier this morning.
UEFA is also apparently weighing the decision to boycott FIFA congress.
Sepp Blatter is expected to be re-elected as president of football's governing body and currently is not involved with the ongoing investigations into corruption by FIFA officials.
Prince Ali is Blatter's only competition at this point after both David Ginola and Luis Figo withrew themselves from the race.
However, reports indicate that Ginola may be interested in returning to the race, but obviously there is no confirmation that he will indeed once again be a candidate.
FIFA spokesperson Walter De Gregorio stated this morning in his press conference that the organization would not postpone the election despite the pressure that had accumulated following the arrests.
