Undrafted And Ready To Make An Impact

Created on Apr. 28, 2013 12:43 AM EST

With the 2013 NFL Draft finally finished, NFL GMs and coaches have the daunting task of filling out the back end of their rosters. This process often involves signing undrafted free agents who will not make it out of mini camps and others that will simply be "training camp bodies".

Yet as we all know, there can be great NFL talent that goes undrafted. Players such as Arian Foster, Antonio Gates and Wes Welker have all risen to the top of the NFL charts after being passed over multiple times by each of the 32 NFL teams during the draft.

Undrafted free agents are becoming more relevant in today's NFL. With the recent expansion of NFL training camp rosters to 90 players, teams need to fill more roster spots with players who were not drafted. This gives these undrafted players a chance to make NFL rosters that even five years ago was not possible. According to's Bob Boyles, 22.8% of all players on Super Bowl rosters since 2003 have been undrafted free agents. With that in mind, who are the best prospects to go through the 2013 NFL Draft without having their name called? Here is's list of the top undrafted free agent prospects of 2013:
