What Separates The Seahawks And Niners In NFC Title Game?
By Adam Hurst
Division rivals face off in the NFC Championship game. Last season the Seahawks felt like a team of destiny to reach the Super Bowl. This year the Seahawks have been playing like a team possessed, while the Niners have become this decade's Philadelphia Eagles; playing in its third straight NFC Championship game. While home field hasn't necessarily been a deciding factor in NFC title games with the home team owning an 8-5 record since 2000, everyone should know by now that the Seahawks have an edge in this game with a true home field advantage. Seattle will have to feed off that crowd to take control of the game and keep the NFC Champs in check. Emotions will be running high on Sunday as both teams know one another well. San Francisco could very well be the "better" team, however Seattle (and its fans) may just need this game more.
