Eden Hazard may be on his way out of Stamford Bridge!
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is pushing for the Chelsea playmaker to bolster his attempt for a hat trick of Champions League titles. And he’s prepared to sacrifice Gareth Bale to make it happen.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claims Hazard’s representatives have spoken to Zidane, who is a big fan of the Belgian who spearheaded Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning campaign last term.
The Frenchman has asked president Florentino Perez to bring him to the club.
Sources tell Football.com that Perez told Zidane that he could find the cash – likely to be around £100 million – but the money would have to be recouped by selling one of the team’s stars, especially as a possible deal for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe is still in the works.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte doesn’t want to sell Hazard, but the player is said to be “excited” at the prospect.
The midfielder has yet to play this season as he recovers from injury.
