Tottenham are reportedly considering Leão as they assess further attacking reinforcements for Roberto De Zerbi’s squad. The London club have already been active in the transfer market, but the search for more quality and explosiveness on the flanks appears to be continuing.
Leão remains under contract with Milan until the summer of 2028, meaning the Italian club retain a strong position in any negotiations. The reported contact is therefore best viewed as exploratory rather than evidence that a transfer is close.
The forward has been with Milan since 2019 and has established himself as one of Europe’s most dangerous wide attackers. Tottenham have also reportedly kept Manchester City winger Savinho on their radar, suggesting Leão may be one of several options being considered.
What would Leão bring to Tottenham? His pace, ball-carrying ability and confidence in one-on-one situations could give the team a different threat in wide areas. He can stay close to the touchline, attack space in transition or move inside to create opportunities.
Leão has made no secret of his interest in testing himself outside Italy. “A liga está evoluindo, mas, pelo meu estilo de futebol, acho que a Premier League ou LaLiga poderiam aproveitar mais o meu talento como jogador,” he said, explaining why England or Spain could suit his game.
That ambition could make Tottenham an appealing destination, particularly if the club can present a clear role for him in De Zerbi’s attacking structure.
The immediate priority is determining whether informal discussions develop into a formal proposal. Milan’s contract position and valuation will be central, while Tottenham must decide whether Leão is the preferred solution or one possibility among several.
For now, the winger is linked with Spurs, not confirmed as their next signing. As Leão put it: “Se uma oportunidade na Premier League aparecesse, eu ficaria muito feliz.”
