January Transfer Interest: Chelsea Lead Alex Scott Round-Up

Chelsea weigh two midfield options

Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for Alex Scott, whose recent form is said to have helped him earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the Nations League. Bournemouth retained the 23-year-old during the summer, strengthening their negotiating position.

The reported £100m price would make Scott a major investment rather than a routine January addition. Chelsea are also expected to revisit Lamine Camara after Monaco turned down a reported €55m deadline-day offer. The 21-year-old remains at Monaco, while Liverpool are also said to be monitoring him.

Bayern consider Olmo as Barcelona seek flexibility

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering an approach for Barcelona attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, who is valued at around €70m. The German club has followed Olmo since his RB Leipzig spell and could view him as useful cover amid reported interest in Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise.

Barcelona may be open to sales as they look to raise funds for a possible move for Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez. Any Olmo decision, however, would depend on both the financial terms and the club’s sporting priorities.

United and Liverpool track emerging talent

Manchester United scouts reportedly watched Joaquin Seys register two assists in Club Brugge’s 3-0 win against Genk. The 19-year-old is being assessed as United consider additional support for Luke Shaw.

United are also reportedly close to a move for 16-year-old winger Isaac Konde from Liverpool’s academy. Meanwhile, Tyler Morton is said to be attracting attention from Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle, Sunderland and Everton.

The key January storyline will be whether reported interest turns into formal bids, particularly with Bournemouth’s valuation of Scott and Monaco’s stance on Camara likely to set the market’s tone.
