After a quiet first half, Ilves took charge immediately after the restart. Kanga broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 51st minute, then converted another penalty four minutes later to put the home side 2-0 up and seemingly in control.
The match then shifted through a busy spell of changes. Ilves introduced Stanislav Baranov for Joona Veteli on 60 minutes, while Seinajoen JK reshaped their side in the 64th minute with Rangel, Jeremiah Streng and Markus Arsalo sent on. Sayibu Yakubu went into the book on 67 minutes as the visitors pushed for a route back into the game.
That pressure finally told in the closing stages. Samuel Johansen Chukwudi reduced the deficit in the 81st minute from Eetu Mommo's assist, giving the away side real belief. Two minutes later, Faris Krkalic and Rangel were both cautioned in a tense spell before Seinajoen JK found their equaliser. Paananen struck in the 87th minute from Rangel's pass to complete the comeback and settle the result at 2-2.
The highlights all came late, and the stats line is simple: two Kanga penalties, then two away goals in the final 10 minutes. The draw leaves Ilves ninth on 22 points and Seinajoen JK 10th on 17.
