Hoedd made the sharper start and had the score moving early. Manaf Rawufu opened the scoring in the 18th minute after Streete's assist, and Streete then doubled the lead in the 24th after setup from Skotheim. Stroemsgodset responded quickly, with Kreshnik Krasniqi reducing the deficit in the 29th minute from Antonsen's pass before Jesper Taaje went into the book. Mats Spiten then made it 2-2 in the 36th minute, again from Antonsen's delivery.
The first half still had another swing. Gustav Wikheim was booked for the visitors, then Mulac restored Hoedd's lead in the 42nd minute from Jesper Bergset Robertsen's assist before collecting a yellow card himself moments later.
Changes followed after the break, with Hoedd reshuffling at half-time and again before the hour, while Stroemsgodset introduced Elias Hoff Melkersen just past 61 minutes. Victor Dedes brought the away side level at 3-3 in the 69th minute from Lars Vilsvik's assist, but Hoedd had the final word. Skotheim converted a 75th-minute penalty to settle the result.
