Sletsjoe equalised in the 35th minute, with Thorkelsson providing the assist, and the match went into half-time locked at 1-1.
The second half became a contest of adjustments rather than goals. Brommapojkarna introduced Lukas Edvin Björklund for Atle Wahlund on 62 minutes, while GAIS answered with Robin Wendin Thomasson and August Nils Toma Wangberg in quick succession. Shalom Ekong was shown a yellow card in the 73rd minute and was then replaced a minute later, with Oscar Pettersson and Lucas Hedlund among the visitors' changes. Oskar Agren also went into the book at 90 minutes as the score remained unchanged through to full time.
In the wider summary of the result, GAIS stayed ninth on 20 points after 15 matches, while Brommapojkarna sat 12th on 17.
