The report says Vakaloloma missed most of the previous campaign while balancing Fiji commitments and her time in the professional environment. Her return now gives Como an experienced presence in a position where calm decision-making can shape an entire team.
“She’s fun to have back for her senior year, and we get her the whole season,” Como said.
Vakaloloma’s reported background includes appearances at the Under-20 Women’s World Cup and a senior Fiji debut. That experience should be valuable beyond the penalty area, particularly for teammates learning how to manage pressure and organise from the back.
“I’m able to show them things that not a lot of girls are able to learn in a high school environment,” Vakaloloma said.
Her spell with Spokane appears to have offered a taste of the demands beyond high school football. The report says she became the club’s first under-18 signing while retaining her college eligibility, then continued developing alongside more experienced players before the club folded.
“For me, it wasn’t as much pressure because I’m obviously still young and I have other places to go,” she explained.
That perspective may be just as important as the technical lessons. Vakaloloma has already experienced international travel, elite competition and uncertainty around a professional pathway, all before completing her senior season.
After Ridgeline’s campaign, Vakaloloma is expected to join Seattle University. The programme reportedly recruited her at a young age, and her next step will provide a fresh test against stronger collegiate opposition.
For now, the focus returns to the Falcons. Their next storyline is whether Vakaloloma’s experience can turn a promising season into a memorable final chapter before her move to Seattle.
