Copa Utpal U14 Knockout Round: Shootouts and Big Wins

Shootout pressure defines the round

St Mary’s ICSE A Mazgaon reportedly overcame Green Acres Academy Mulund after a 2-2 draw in regulation time. The shootout finished 2-1, giving St Mary’s a 4-3 victory overall.

Kiaan Shah, Vivaan Mody, who scored twice, and Ibrahim Mamdani were listed as St Mary’s scorers. Vihaan Gohil, Arajav Kamdar and Paras Golani were credited for Green Acres.

The report says OLPS Chembur also advanced through a shootout after a 0-0 draw with Ryan Christian Borivali. Darsh Patil and Reeyan Vazirani converted for OLPS in a 2-1 shootout success.

Those results place composure under pressure at the centre of the round. Both ties remained level after regulation, leaving young players to handle the decisive moments from the spot.

Several teams advance in style

The report also records a series of clean-sheet victories:

  • Jamnabai Narsee Juhu beat Lakshadham Goregaon 3-0, with goals from Aatish Dutt, Yuvan Talan and Yash Salkade.
  • Campion Cooperage defeated JBCN International Oshiwara 3-0, through Martin Quer, Aarav Singh and Ahan Singh.
  • St Stanislaus Bandra beat Billabong International Malad 3-0; Altamash Malik and Xander Vaz scored.
  • CNS Kandivali defeated Don Bosco International Matunga 2-0, with Ayaan Bindra scoring twice.
  • Ryan International CBSE Kandivali and Ascend International BKC each won 1-0.
  • CNM Vile Parle beat Bunts Sangha ICSE Powai 3-0, while St Mary’s SSC Mazgaon defeated Holy Cross Academy Kurla 4-0.

The next knockout stage should reveal whether the shootout survivors can carry that resilience forward, or whether the teams advancing with clean sheets and wider margins take control of the competition.
