Western Massachusetts Girls Football Rankings Update

SICS arrive on a winning run

Springfield International Charter School’s rise is built on sustained form rather than a single result. The update says SICS have won five straight matches since losing to Palmer on opening day, scoring 16 goals and conceding nine during that sequence.

The scoring has been shared across the squad:

  • Aijihnna Morgan leads SICS with four goals.
  • Allanah Chambers has three goals and one assist.
  • Six players have scored at least twice.

That spread gives Matt Smith’s side a platform as it prepares for a demanding stretch. SICS are reported to face McCann Tech, Hoosac Valley and Springfield Central in their next four league fixtures, with two of those matches away from home.

Agawam respond in style

Agawam’s reported move to No. 17 follows a decisive 6-0 victory over Chicopee Comp. The result ended a six-game losing sequence and marked only the Brownies’ second win of the season.

Taeva Brogan scored twice, while Olivia Izzo, Grace Curto, Gabriella Ramos and Amelya Bramlett also found the net. The result is especially significant after three of Agawam’s previous defeats had reportedly been by a single goal, against South Hadley, West Springfield and Ludlow.

Pope Francis set the pace

Pope Francis is listed first after a perfect eight wins from eight, including a reported 3-0 victory over second-placed Minnechaug. Minnechaug have won six of seven, with Makenna Sacco, Brooklyn Manning and Katelyn Hoar contributing across the attack.

The next rankings will show whether SICS can extend their winning run, whether Agawam can build momentum, and whether Minnechaug can reduce the distance to the unbeaten leaders.
