The report says Buffalo State controlled much of the attacking play before halftime but could not find a finish. Morrisville then took the lead through Alexis Clark, who reportedly scored from a corner in the 43rd minute.
The response was immediate after the break. Buffalo State is reported to have equalised in the 47th minute before adding further goals in the 60th, 63rd and 71st minutes. A 24-minute burst settled the contest and exposed the difficulty of defending sustained pressure once the Bengals found their first goal.
Morrisville goalkeeper Ainslie Romasco reportedly made 13 saves, the highest total among the players involved. Her performance helped preserve the Mustangs’ advantage during a first half in which Buffalo State repeatedly pushed forward.
That resistance could not withstand the second-half surge. Once the equaliser arrived, Buffalo State’s attacks reportedly became more productive, while Morrisville lost the control that had protected its narrow lead.
The reported victory came after Buffalo State opened its SUNYAC campaign with a defeat against Cortland. If the scoreline stands, the comeback offers an important response: the Bengals showed they could absorb a setback, maintain attacking pressure and change the game after halftime.
The next reported fixture is another home match against Oswego State Lakers at Coyer Field on Wednesday, 7 October. That game will test whether Buffalo State can carry this second-half momentum into its next SUNYAC challenge.
