Brentford were first into the notebook when Anthony was cautioned on 29 minutes, and Leeds were then forced into an early change as Joe Rodon went off for Nico Elvedi in the 34th minute. The visitors made the breakthrough on 40 minutes when Schade finished from Lewis-Potter's pass, sending Brentford into the break 1-0 up.
Leeds responded with two halftime substitutions, bringing on Ao Tanaka and Harry Wilson, and kept searching for a way back. Daniel James and Nmecha followed before the 69th minute as the hosts increased the pressure. Brentford also refreshed their side, but a tense second half brought more cautions than clear chances for a spell, with Kristoffer Ajer and Vitaly Janelt both booked.
The equaliser arrived on 78 minutes when Calvert-Lewin turned in Nmecha's assist, and the goal was confirmed after a VAR check just before the 80th minute. Brentford made a late triple substitution, while Nathan Collins saw yellow at 90 minutes in the closing stages. The result leaves Brentford fourth and Leeds seventh, both with four points from two matches.
