Scotland World Cup 2026 Costs Rise in Boston and Miami

Foxborough travel comes at a premium

Scotland’s meeting with Haiti is scheduled for Saturday, 13 June, with the match taking place at the venue branded as Boston Stadium in Foxborough, around 27 miles from central Boston.

The report says a special MBTA return ticket from South Station to Foxborough will cost $80 (£60) per person. That compares with a standard single fare of $8.75 (£6.50) and typical NFL gameday travel of around $18 to $20 (£13-15).

For supporters travelling in groups, the difference could quickly become one of the largest costs of the trip. The journey normally takes a little over an hour each way.

Miami brings another expensive journey

The report also lists a significant rise for Scotland’s final group match against Brazil on Wednesday, 24 June.

A return Brightline journey between Miami and Aventura, the nearest station to Hard Rock Stadium, is reportedly priced at $151 (£113.17) for matchday. The usual fare is said to be around $24 (£17.99), creating another steep transport premium before supporters reach the stadium.

Ticket prices have already set a high baseline. Reported Scotland Supporters Club allocations ranged from £372 for Haiti to £523 for Brazil.

Food and drink add to the bill

Daily spending could make the two host cities even harder to navigate. The report puts a bottle of water at around $2.28 in Boston and $2.98 in Miami, while regular coffees are listed at $5.04 and $5.60 respectively.

Draft beer is reported at about $8 in both cities, with fan-zone prices potentially reaching $12. Boston sales tax adds a further 6.25%.

The next issue for Scotland supporters will be whether travel operators, fan groups or tournament organisers provide cheaper matchday alternatives before June 2026.
