Chelsea legend John Terry is considering a drop down to the Championship to try and revive the flagging fortunes of one time football power Aston Villa.
Terry took time out from working out with wife, Toni, and playing around the pool for a round of golf at the weekend with Villa manager Steve Bruce (pictured center, next to Terry).
Bruce did his best to persuade Terry that captaining his side back into the Premier League was a worthwhile challenge for the 36-year-old, whose contract with Chelsea finally drew to a close this summer.
JT has at least one Premiership offer from Bournemouth and the MLS would love to have the ex-England skipper. But Chelsea insiders say Terry fancies the idea of one last, big challenge to lead Villa back into the big time in a blaze of personal glory.
And he knows he’d have the gratitude of at least one famous Villa fan – Prince William!
Time to get back to work…
