The UK Premier League title is already wrapped up by Manchester City and the top four spots to secure Champions League status next season are as good as sorted for Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs.
The big question left to answer is the winner of the coveted Golden Boot for the most Premier League goals.
In the past two years, Tottenham’s Harry Kane has been the clear winner, but this season he is chasing Liverpool’s goal machine Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has already breached the 30-goal barrier—the first player to do so in the English top flight since Luis Suarez in 2013/14—in his maiden season at Anfield.
But Kane’s determination to score a hat-trick of Golden Boots was underlined by his desperation to “steal” a goal from colleague Christian Ericksen, insisting the Dane’s shot brushed him on its way into the back of the net in the victory against Stoke.
At their current rates, Salah is on course to score 34 goals and tie the Premier League record while Kane would add another three to claim 29 for the 2017/18 campaign.
