Neymar Scores 4 for PSG – and Still Gets Booed for Not Letting Cavani Take Penalty That Would Have Broken Club Record

Neymar’s four goals in PSG’s 8-0 demolishing of Dijon weren’t enough to save him from the derision of his own fans.

The Brazilian had already scored a hat trick when the referee blew for an 83rd minute penalty.

One more goal for striker Edinson Cavani would have taken him ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Paris club’s all-time top goalscorer.

But Neymar grabbed the ball and stuck the ball in the back of the net for his fourth.

His selfishness was met by a chorus of boos from fans inside the Parc des Princes.

They didn’t mind the result though. The emphatic victory puts the Parisians 11 points clear at the top of the table, with a +24 goal-difference advantage over second-placed Lyon.

It’s not like the first time this has happened. The two stars got into it over a penalty kick a few months ago…
