There was little to split Mjallby AIF and Vasteraas SK before the break, and the halftime score stayed at 0-0 after a first half without a breakthrough. The home side were first to act after the restart, introducing Jacob Bergstrom for Olle Lindberg and Ali Youssef for Abdoulie Manneh in the 55th minute.
The second half quickly turned into a tactical reshuffle. Lendambi's booking arrived on 57 minutes, then Vasteraas answered with a double change on 61 minutes as Victor Wernersson replaced Marcus Baggesen and Jonathan Karlsson came on for Madiou Keita. Mjallby responded again at 67 minutes, sending on Agnarsson and Villiam Granath, but the score did not move.
A run of cards captured the growing edge of the match. Tony Miettinen was booked for the hosts around the 70-minute mark, with Lushaku cautioned soon after for the visitors. Tidstrand also went into the book shortly after coming on, before Taonsa Axel and Agnarsson were shown late yellows. Vasteraas made two more substitutions in the 81st minute and a final change at 90, yet the result held firm and the highlights remained scarce.
