• She has become Gotham’s all-time leading scorer.
• She is also the first player to reach 80 NWSL goals.

That matters beyond a hot start. After Australia’s disappointment against Japan in the Asian Cup final in Sydney, the national team needs its biggest names driving standards again. Gotham, currently leading the competition, recently drew 1-1 with the Portland Thorns of Mackenzie Arnold, a neat reminder that several Matildas are already competing directly at a high level.
