Brazil vs Egypt travel advice for supporters in Cleveland

Why rail is the cleanest option

The update says the Greater Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority network is being treated as the simplest route to the stadium.

  • Fans can reportedly take the red, blue or green lines to Tower City Station
  • From there, the Waterfront Line serves the W. 3rd St. stop by the stadium
  • Walking from Terminal Tower is also being recommended to avoid heavy traffic and parking costs

For travelling supporters, that route looks straightforward. It cuts out the biggest matchday headache: getting trapped in a slow-moving ring of traffic close to the ground.

Why driving could become a problem

Reports suggest a wide group of downtown roads will face temporary closures, including stretches around West Roadway, Ontario Street, Euclid Avenue, East Roadway, Superior Avenue, East 9th Street, Lakeside Avenue and West 3rd Street.

There are also said to be temporary disruptions on several Ohio 2 ramps, with one westbound exit traffic reportedly being redirected toward West 49th Street.

Add in parking restrictions from Friday through midnight Saturday, and the message is clear:

  • Leave the car at home if possible
  • If driving is unavoidable, check signs carefully before parking
  • Build in extra time for diversions and slower access routes

The bigger matchday picture

The report also says Pride in the CLE runs from 11am to 6pm in the city centre, creating an overlap that could stretch transport networks and crowd levels well before kick-off.

That makes this less about convenience and more about planning. For fans of Brazil and Egypt, arriving early, using rail and expecting a longer journey time appears to be the safest play. The next storyline to watch is whether transport advice tightens further as matchday approaches.
