The report says the revised schedule applies to the nights featuring The Kooks and The Streets:
Three outdoor screens are reportedly being installed, with the broadcasts included in the festival ticket. That 30-minute gap between each headline set and kick-off is designed to give attendees time to move into the viewing area rather than choose between the concert and the match.
The report says support acts will open both evenings, while DJ sets from Press Play with Stacey will run before the games and during half-time. Casisdead and Jimothy Lacoste are listed for the second match night, with Circa Waves supporting The Kooks.
The scheduling reflects the growing overlap between football and live entertainment. Major tournament fixtures can dictate evening plans across entire cities, particularly when the national team is involved. By placing the matches inside the event programme, Bristol Sounds appears to be treating the England games as part of the night’s main attraction rather than an interruption.
The Kooks and The Streets shows are also reportedly sold out, giving the organisers a ready-made audience for both screenings.
The wider festival is scheduled to run from 23 to 28 June, but these two nights will carry the clearest football focus. The key measure will be whether the transition from stage to screen feels seamless for thousands of supporters.
If the format works, other summer festivals may look at their own schedules when England’s next major tournament fixtures arrive.
