Bountiful, Alta Lead 2026 5A All-State Picks

Martin headlines Bountiful’s recognition

The report names senior midfielder Cameron Martin as both 5A Player of the Year and Playoff MVP. It credits him with 18 goals and six assists, numbers that explain why his influence extended beyond Bountiful’s team success.

Bountiful’s first-team presence reportedly included:

  • Ezra Christiansen, with 11 goals.
  • Emilio Castaneda, a central figure in a defence that produced seven shutouts.
  • Jovany Lobato, credited with five clean sheets.

The report also says Bountiful added two second-team selections, giving the champions depth across the ballot rather than relying solely on Martin’s production.

Alta offer a balanced challenge

Alta matched Bountiful’s reported first-team total, led by a pair of productive attackers. Beckham Butler is listed with 13 goals and 13 assists, while midfielder Jack McAllister contributed eight goals and 11 assists.

That balance separates Alta’s profile from a team built around one scorer. Conner Rasmussen was recognised in defence, and goalkeeper Brayden Keetch earned one of the two goalkeeper spots after recording five clean sheets, according to the report.

Barker takes the biggest individual prize

The top overall honour reportedly went to Salem Hills senior Brooks Barker, named Mr. Soccer after a season of 21 goals and 14 assists. Chris Castro of Granger led the listed first-team forwards with 22 goals and 13 assists, while Pleasant Grove’s Trey Okey also made a major impact with 19 goals and 13 assists.

The report says the teams were selected exclusively through coaches’ votes from nominated players.

With Martin and Barker moving on as seniors, the next 5A storyline will be whether Bountiful can replace its leading creator and whether Alta’s balanced group can turn recognition into the next championship challenge.
